There's no way anyone can sleep with that light shining in your window. Many people around here leave some kitchen or dining room lights on all night on too thinking they will not get robbed. Always parking their luxury cars on the road or in their hand-laid European hand-laid brick driveway.

Leaving a light burning all night long wastes energy. While not all municipalities have specific laws about light pollution, that doesn't leave you without a legal remedy. I lived in condos and was upstairs. I would bet statistics show that crime happens more in dark houses, than one with all the lights on.
