Another option would be to show a caption card on the channel like Sky do for The Simpsons on +1 & on Sky Go, however many channel operators dont want to buy the extra equipment needed to do this, and so many shows would be blocked it would be on and off all the time, preventing you from viewing the show on the actual device. We have a Samsung Smart tv and can't screen mirror sky go using the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 or S3. Yet we own a older version Sony tv (not smart) with screen mirroring and it's not a problem with the SAMSUNG phones. This happens to me, as well.
