It’s also always proud to announce being the first Tahoe-area resort to open each winter. The lodge was a good size but would have benefited from some music. Boreal Ski measures a total of 380 acres with its top and base elevations at 7,700 feet and 7,200 feet respectively. Several lifts and different easy ways down the hill.

My husband REALLY enjoyed the night ski and found the runs to be very well lit. With two lifts linking the resorts, the Donner Ski Ranch and Boreal Mountain Playground interconnect will offer a total of 15 lifts, 86 runs, 5 terrain parks, two lodges, over 700 skiable acres, and more than 750 vertical feet of terrain. The resort and lift lines get very busy here.

The mountain averages 400 inches of snowfall per season alongside 240 days of sunshine a year. Boreal is geared more towards snowboarders. Its runs break out as follows: beginner (30%), intermediate (55%), and advanced (15%).
